Instructions for use
- Hold the bundle by the visible string and light the end by blowing on the embers.
- You can carry the bundle in your hand or place it on a heat-resistant support.
- Some plants burn less well than others and it may be necessary to blow regularly on the embers for optimum combustion.
- To extinguish it, crush it on sand or let it burn out completely on a suitable support. Remember to air the room thoroughly afterwards.
- To purify an area, move your bundle around so that the smoke permeates every corner, wall and object in the room. Start in the east, turning clockwise. When the process is complete, open all windows to ventilate.
- To harmonize a person's energies, pass the bundle around him/her from the head to the foot, from the front and then from the back. The person receiving the smudge stands with arms outstretched and eyes closed.
Precautions
Valid for all types of fumigation (incense, plants, sticks, resins, wood, etc. natural or not)
- Always air the room thoroughly.
- Place your incense out of the reach of children and pets, on a suitable heat-sensitive support and away from anything flammable.
- Never leave incense burning unattended.
- Do not inhale smoke directly.
Frankincense is not recommended for pregnant women and can be dangerous for people with respiratory problems, babies, asthmatics and small animals.
