There are three types of jade: jadeite (or Burmese jade), nephrite jade and black jade.
A balancing stone on the path to harmony
In lithotherapy and for thousands of years, all jade stones have been used for their protective virtues, promoting spiritual healing through their relaxing and balancing effect.
Their presence can help you to free yourself from fear, gain confidence and make choices with peace of mind.
According to various Eastern traditions, the stone promotes long life, good luck and prosperity.
In detail, the Jade beads in our selection have particular meanings depending on their nature:
Burmese jade or Jadeite
Jadeite's balance is based on the energy of the masculine principle. It is a stone of purification that supports clarity of mind in all circumstances. It invites you to follow the path of the golden mean, integrating forgiveness, tolerance and the importance of one's own limits.
Nephrite jade
Linked to harmony and balance, nephrite jade promotes the reflective peace that makes prosperity possible. This jade is sometimes used to ward off fear, both in adults and children.
Black jade
Stone of introspection, good fortune and protection. It can help overcome overwhelming emotions and wounds of the mind that take up too much space.

Mineralogy of your jade beads
Jade Jadeite or Burmese Jade and Nephrite Jade are the two most common varieties of Jade.
The former is a and silicate, while nephrite jade is a and silicate.
Jadeite is rarer, nephrite less so. Colors range from tinted white to dark green.
The best jadeite is mined in Burma, which is also its main producer. It is also found in Guatemala, Japan, Russia and the United States.
Nephrite jade is found in Canada, China and Russia, as well as in New Zealand and the United States.
Jadeite's hardness lies between 6.5 and 7 on the Mohs scale - nephrite jade is only slightly less hard, lying between 6 and 6.5 - but the latter's impact resistance makes it a tougher mineral.
Black jade can be either black jadeite or black nephrite. Its hardness varies according to its composition: black jadeite is slightly harder (6.5 to 7) than black nephrite (6 to 6.5) - but, conversely, slightly more sensitive to scratches.
