Why create jewelry with Lapis lazuli beads?

Intuition - Metamorphosis - Protection - Free will - Wisdom - Self-confidence - Communication and expression

Lapis lazuli's decorative and poetic character has been asserting itself for millennia, its prestige crossing eras and civilizations through the enchantment of the gaze: it has never left anyone indifferent.

A powerful symbol in lithotherapy

Lapis lazuli invites you to metamorphosis. To transform your spirit by taking control of yourself through the exercise of your creative gifts. Forget pretense and the stories we tell ourselves. Her inspiring breath cultivates beauty, which never goes round in circles. It reveals that your lacks are also a limiting identification, a self-imposed brake, a mirage.

So the traces of your wounds are manifested in boundaries marked by fear. But the stone shows you that you have to free yourself from these fetters. These bindings consign you to the illusion of doing so to protect yourself, while discernment shows you that you must take power over yourself.

To change, to transform oneself, often means making the sacrifice of what seemed to preserve us, but sometimes affected us deeply in our essence. In lithotherapy, Lapis lazuli accompanies a recognition that we no longer need to be guided by the weight of our history and the wounds it may have inflicted; a recognition of the need to remove a mask that prevented us from seeking our authenticity. The beauty of stone is a reminder of the wisdom of resisting judgment in the quest for truth. It unlocks speech and creative gesture, and through them, the vital energies of intuition.

It reveals you in a new light, because with it nothing is fixed, but movement, action, expression, listening: you're on the way to your kingdom, and you need to take care of it.

Mineralogy of your Lapis lazuli beads

Although its crystals are rarely visible, its crystal system is cubic. A metamorphic stone of tertiary formation, Lapis lazuli contains aluminum silicate, sulfur, sodium and traces of other minerals. It may contain marble or calcite, as well as pyrite.

It can be found in Afghanistan and Chile. Or, in lesser quantities, in Russia, the United States, Canada and Burma.

Counterfeits are widespread. Its hardness on the Mohs scale ranges from 5 to 5.5. It is a relatively fragile stone that needs to be cared for.
