Biotite
Black mica
Biotite is a black mica strongly associated with the Earth and Nature in lithotherapy.
Its comforting properties make it an ideal stone for resisting negative emotions.
What are the benefits of Biotite in lithotherapy?
The Biotite stone's strong connection to the root chakra brings stability to body and mind - and the security that goes with it. We're then ready to receive the comfort of the symbol, which soothes anger and anxiety resulting from frustrations we haven't worked out.
By helping us to understand ourselves and others through its gentleness, it facilitates the freezing of destructive impulses, opening the way to a feeling of tolerance thanks to the potential for communication it lets us glimpse - to all that we can gain and share by listening and stating the issues at stake in a relationship.
What are the physical virtues of this stone in lithotherapy?
Its power over the symbol gives it effective properties against spasmophilia.
How do I use it?
You can wear Biotite as a pendant necklace, bracelet or other piece of jewelry.
Or, to promote harmony in your home, place it where it can radiate its gentle beauty; for example, near your place of work, rest or sleep.

AllBiotite mineralogy
This black to green colored mica is a silicate in crystal form with three remarkable optical properties: Biotite changes color depending on the angle from which it is viewed, it splits the light passing through it, and its crystals have a vitreous to pearly lustre, so that the stone reflects light very well - like glass.
In addition, this mineral has a number of industrial applications due to its insulating properties (UV or even electrical), its texture, its sparkle, or its magnetic quality, among many other uses.
Biotite is found in igneous, metamorphic and volcanic rocks. Today, it's found in America (Canada), Europe (France), Asia (China, Afghanistan), or at the border of these last two continents - in the Urals, in Russia.
Hardness: 2.5 to 3 on the Mohs scale (the stone is not very hard).
