This stone contains Quartz, Rutile and Smoky Quartz, Amethyst, Cacoxenite, Lepidocrocite and Goethite. It comes from a single mine in Brazil, where the mineral was formed over 100 million years ago by the metamorphism of magmatic rocks.
Its heterogeneous composition is conducive to a beautiful variety of colors: from violet to brown, with many variations, including gray, yellow and transparent.
On the Mohs scale, its hardness is 9 - a very hard mineral.
