The Hypersthene
gemstones
In lithotherapy,Hypersthene is a stone of balance, anchored by the powerful forces of the Earth.

What are the benefits of Hypersthene in lithotherapy?
Symbols
Although it dates back to the 19th century - when it was first identified scientifically - its name comes from the Greek hyper (above) and sthenos (strength), in relation to its hardness and more than robust energy.
Modern spiritual traditions link Hypersthenes to the protection and intuition provided by reasoned balance.
Virtues of Hypersthene stone
In lithotherapy, the Hypersthene stone can be seen as a lighthouse, a motionless guide whose protection ensures a balance that truly shares the waters, for a serene life.
By what means? By recognizing your own needs and aspirations.
The stone can accompany you if you wish to go on a quest for yourself; illuminating the geography of emotions, perhaps to become aware of the inordinate importance you may have attached to the gaze of others; and of guilt that is ultimately as destructive as it is imaginary.
By helping you to free yourself from judgments that are not your own, the energy of this stone promotes a harmonious balance between anchoring, freedom and a peaceful relationship with the Other.
Not to mention that, paradoxically, gaining peaceful self-confidence means accepting criticism more readily. Because we've had the courage to go in for introspection, we can then act on the world and the mind in an intimate and sensible way.
In practice
Hypersthene frees you from an external and imaginary gaze. It helps you stop feeling judged or denigrated.
The stone draws a vision of balance and weight. By putting points of view at the right distance, it serves as a reminder of the need to defend your own convictions - which is also how you develop your qualities - while being equally attentive to the uniqueness of others and their differences.
Supported by earthly forces with a powerful anchoring power, the balance of Hypersthene will nevertheless liberate a lighter idea of life. An invitation to live it, to find the right balance between rest and activity.
On a physical level
In lithotherapy, according to tradition, Hypersthene can help regulate the liver, gallbladder and intestines. It can also relieve tension and gastric pain.

It is found in Canada, the United States, Scandinavia, Australia and Japan, mainly in igneous and metamorphic rocks, but also occasionally in meteorites.
Its hardness ranges from 5.5 and 6 on the Mohs scale.
