Jasper K2
fine stones, rolled and in necklaces pendants
K2 Jasper, composed of white granite and blue Azurite inclusions, takes its name from an analogy, its unique appearance alluding to the snowy landscape of Mount K2, one of the Himalayas' highest peaks. In lithotherapy, its energy is linked to spiritual strength, to the paths of perseverance leading to elevation.

What are the virtues and properties of Jasper K2 in lithotherapy?
Jasper K2 symbols
Discovered only recently in the Himalayas, its metaphor is that of climbing a mountain peak. Its meaning also reflects its origin: strength and perseverance lead to spiritual elevation through intuition, action and meditation.
Expanding consciousness
Its region of origin is difficult to access and its combination of minerals is rare in nature; in lithotherapy, like the two minerals of which it is composed, Jasper k2 evokes both rootedness and elevation.
Jasper K2 is not a Jasper, its virtues are quite different. It is a Granite with Azurite and Biotite inclusions.
Granite brings solidity and stability, Biotite is a stone of protection and anchorage, while Azurite, more ethereal, favors intuition and clarity of mind. The energy of its native earth is particularly high-vibrational.
Thus Jasper K2 will have balancing and soothing properties through its sensory power in lithotherapy, strongly benefiting intuition and, through its connection to higher energies, supporting the exploration of the mind in search of clarity.
Her metaphor connects her to the higher realms. It can help you overcome doubts and gain self-confidence. Jasper K2 invites you to work towards alignment between earth and sky. With it, like a mountain climber, you'll gain height while maintaining a solid connection with your roots. A global vision then becomes essential, accessing the depths as well as the messages of your guides and allies.
It's a stone that opens the door to a demanding spirituality. However, you need to be prepared to walk this path, avoiding its pitfalls, illusions, ease and discouragement. If you're climbing a high-altitude mountain, you can't afford to be complacent about these matters, because if you are, there's a real risk of stumbling or losing your sanity.
Like the mountaineer on his way to the top of the mountain, the wisdom of Jasper K2 reminds you that you are responsible for every step you take. If you've chosen to be where you are, you must take account of the forces of nature, since only you can find solutions to difficulties. To reach the summit and make it back down safely requires you to be fully present at every moment, to show perseverance, courage and willpower. There can be no spiritual awakening without the courage to go through your emotions, balance your polarities and heal your wounds.

Mineralogy of Jasper K2
Jasper K2 is not Jasper per se, but a unique mineral association, consisting essentially of biotite, Feldspar, Quartz and inclusions of Azurite, a basic copper carbonate that infiltrated the Granite without oxidizing because it was deposited after the Granite was formed, and due to a particularly cold and dry climate. If Azurite oxidizes, it becomes Malachite.
Originating in extreme and remote mountain regions, its discovery is recent and its extraction complex. It is a rare stone.
As it is a granite, the name Jasper K2 was given to it for commercial purposes. It seems to have been first found on the slopes of the K2 mountain in Pakistan, but the deposit exploited is in the Skardou region, some 70 km from K2.
Its hardness is 6/6.5 on the Mohs scale.
