A rare variety of porphyritic granite with Tourmaline crystals, Luxullianite is also a stone known in lithotherapy for its powerful anchoring energies.

What are the benefits of Luxullianite in lithotherapy?

Anchoring - Stability - Soothing and healing emotions - Intuition - Creativity - Clarity of expression and communication

Symbols

The name Luxullianite or Luxulyanite comes from the village of Luxulyan in the UK. This granite with acicular Tourmaline crystals set in Quartz and Orthoclase phenocrysts seemed ideally suited for use as a decorative stone in England.

For example, in the tomb of the Duke of Wellington at St. Paul's Cathedral in London, or in Porphyry Hall at Place House manor house in Fowey.

Contemporary esotericism sees it as a spiritual symbol of stability and transformation by telluric forces.

Its properties and virtues in lithotherapy

Its rich composition of Quartz, Feldspar, Mica and Tourmaline gives Luxullianite anchoring energies that can be useful to and going through inner turmoil.

It benefits from the virtues of both Black Tourmaline and Granite, helping to anchor excessive tension, stress, frustration and irrational fears.

It can help stabilize the emotions to nurture serene self-confidence. Releasing blockages, it encourages emotional healing and self-acceptance.

This refocusing can result in the stimulation and, ultimately, development of intuition through reconnection with the Earth.
It will support forms of creativity and artistic expression, as well as clear and authentic verbal exchanges.

In lithotherapy, it is often recommended, without scientific proof, for hyperactivity and DYS disorders.

In meditation

Luxullianite's dense and structured energy makes it ideal for meditation practices focused on stability, emotional healing and self-reconnection.

What stones and crystals should Luxullianite be associated with?

In lithotherapy, depending on your needs, Luxullianite can be combined with complementary stones to amplify its effects:

Luxullianite mineralogy

Luxullianite is a porphyritic granitic rock containing quartz, orthoclase (an alkaline feldspar), acicular green tourmaline, brown mica and cassiterite (tin oxide).

Tourmaline inclusions in radial patterns, a unique structure that gives it a beautiful and distinctive appearance, with contrasting colors and textures depending on its composition.

This rare stone is mined mainly in the Luxulyan region of Cornwall.

Its hardness ranges from 6 to 7 on the Mohs scale: it is a fairly resistant stone, but it is sensitive to violent shocks or prolonged abrasion and must be treated with care.
