The virtues and properties of Obsidian Snowflake in lithotherapy
What does it mean?
Obsidian Snowflake symbolizes the union of opposites, the balance between feminine and masculine polarities, between light and shadow, the spiritual world and the material world.
What are its benefits?
When you've lost faith and hope, when you see everything in black, when nothing seems to go the way you want it to, when your mind is cluttered with invasive negative thoughts making you believe that "everything's screwed up", that "your life's a mess", Snowflake Obsidian can help you, little by little, to see things in a different light and to accept that there's something positive and luminous even when everything seems to be going wrong.
It teaches you that all is not either black or white, a stone of truth that encourages you to see things as they are and not as your fears, limiting beliefs and wounded misperceptions show them to you.
How do I purify snowflake obsidian?
Obsidian requires no purification. If it feels a little "tired", place it in the sun; it will regain its brilliance.Chakras

EarthObsidian Snowflake in mineralogy, composition, formation and particularities
Obsidian is an amorphous (non-crystalline) volcanic rock. It forms when lava cools rapidly and solidifies without having had time to crystallize.
It is composed mainly of silicon dioxide and various other elements, mainly oxides of aluminum, iron, calcium, potassium, magnesium and sodium.
The "snowflake" variety features white patterns of feldspar aggregates and reminiscent of flowers or snowflakes. This is due to the process of "devitrification" (slow formation of crystalline structure due to the migration of ions in the rock) that took place during its formation.
*Please note! Some minerals may be toxic and must not be licked or ingested (as such or in the form of powder, elixir or stone water) or be in prolonged contact with the skin or mucous membranes.
