Why choose Amber?

Virtues in lithotherapy

In lithotherapy, Amber is without a doubt the perfect solar stone. It revitalizes and soothes you at the same time. By purifying energies, its solar nature is a powerful ally against moments of depression.

It will help your airways function properly.

It is specially indicated for babies and teething pains.

Mythology

Amber is an ancestral stone, also known as "The Tears of the Gods", associated with solar power as opposed to death in many cultures, including ancient Greece and Rome, the Vikings, Lithuania and China.

Mineralogy

Amber is not a mineral, but rather a fossilized organic mixture that varies in origin and is formed from the resin of prehistoric connifers. It has a resinous sheen and this polymerization process takes millions of years, making Amber solid but relatively hard. Still, it's one of the softest and lightest stones, with a hardness of 2 to 2.5 on the Mohs scale and a density of 1 to 1.1. This is why it should be handled with care: it can easily be scratched, damaged or burned by heat or chemicals. Its refractive index is between 1.539 and 1.545.
Depending on its composition and the quantity of impurities present in the resin, it presents varying degrees of transparency, from clear to cloudy or opaque.

*Please note that lithotherapy is not a substitute for serious medical treatment.
