Why choose a rough Labradorite stone?

Protection - Open-mindedness - Introspection - Hypersensitivity

What properties does Labradorite have in lithotherapy?

Labradorite is an enchanting stone, with reflections that are very pleasing to the eye. It is also a very interesting and powerful stone from a lithotherapy point of view.

A stone of protection, Labradorite is well suited to hypersensitive people who too easily allow themselves to be overwhelmed by issues that are not their own.

Because good feelings can also cause spiritual damage if we commit ourselves with an erroneous perspective, because it's not our own, but the fruit of a projection, even involuntary, of other people's negative waves.

Labradorite's introspective nature makes it an invaluable tool for self-understanding and honest questioning as part of your personal development.

It will help you find your place and assert yourself. A life that is generous and receptive to other people's problems is possible, and much more useful in accompanying them, if it's part of a quest for personal freedom and autonomy. It's only then that your own particularities and differences will truly enrich the world by calming it.

Because of its powerful properties, Labradorite is particularly recommended for people whose professions are directly linked to the problems of others (medical profession, social workers, etc.).

Which varieties to choose?

Labradorite comes in many varieties. Although they possess the properties listed above, they have their own particular characteristics.

One example is white Labradorite or rainbow moonstone - or Peristerite - whose beauty is matched only by the serenity it exudes.

Spectrolite, a Labradorite that can be blue, is a real energy bomb - in other words, it's intense, very powerful lithotherapy.

Larkivite and its elusive reflections can reveal another side of your personality in a moment of enchantment.

Golden Labradorite, on the other hand, awakens the solar being within you.

Finally, Labradorite violet makes you more aware of the true nature of the people around you and their real intentions.

How to use it as a protective stone?

To benefit from its protective virtues in lithotherapy, wear it as a talisman.

Paradoxically, it can accompany sleep or concentration. Admiring it is almost a meditation in itself.

Tradition attributes its beauty to its power to aid memory and mental perception, and to counter stress.

Which stone to match it with?

In lithotherapy, you can combine Labradorite with raw rock crystal to better reconnect with your intuition.

Mineralogy of your rough pocket Labradorite

Of magmatic or igneous origin, Labradorite belongs to the lineage of plagioclase feldspars - the tectosilicate class. It is composed mainly of sodium, calcium, silicon and aluminum.

The explanation for its beautiful reflections, which change according to the light and the point of view, lies in the phenomenon of labradorescence, the result of the diffraction of light on its internal lamellae.

Gray or white Labradorite will produce blue, green, yellow, gold and violet iridescence.

Larvikite, a dark-gray Norwegian Labradorite, will show dark blue, gray or other iridescence.

Spectrolite, a variety of blue Labradorite discovered in Finland, produces particularly intense iridescence between violet and red.

Golden Labradorite, golden and coppery highlights.

Black Labradorite, metallic sparkles with a soothing effect.

Green Labradorite, greenish iridescence.

Its hardness ranges from 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale - a fairly resistant mineral.
