Provenance and fabrication

This unique Tibetan singing bowl belongs to the very special "Full Moon" family of singing bowls. It's made from an alloy of 7 different metals (copper, tin, zinc, iron, lead, gold and silver) and crafted by specialized blacksmiths in Nepal's Kathmandu Valley. What makes it special? It was designed on the evening of a full moon, to be inhabited by powerful lunar energies. You can also see all our natural (non-engraved) sound bowls here.

Made only one night a month, "Full moon" bowls are rare and hard to find, which explains the price difference with a "classic" 7-metal bowl. Counterfeits from Nepal, India or China are unfortunately commonplace, but can be detected by listening to the sound of the bowl. It's easy to tell the difference between the real and the fake, even on the Internet.
