What are the everyday benefits of a jade pendant?
There are three different types of Jade:
- Black jade - rare and often with magnetite inclusions
- nephrite jade - green and dark green
- Burmese jade - Jadeite: white, light green, dark green, blue, reddish-brown, beige, lavender. Imperial jade is a variety of jadeite.
And two associated minerals:
- Albite is a mineral distinct from jade, but this sodium-rich plagioclase feldspar can be found in the same geological environments.
- Lizardite and Serpentine are not strictly speaking Jadeite or even Jade. Lizardite is a phyllosilicate mineral, one of the polymorphs of Serpentine, a term for several soft minerals used as decorative stones - Jadeite is itself a much harder stone.
