What are the benefits of a Magnesite pendant?

Patience - Balance and stability - Anti-stress - Peace of mind - Self-esteem

What is patience if not knowing how to wait? It's a state that nurtures reflection, calm and serenity, and that Magnesite nourishes with its soothing virtues, shielding disturbing emotions to open the way to a renewed vision of what's at stake in your existence.

Its benefits in lithotherapy

The properties of this stone are thus conducive to peace and meditation. Its gentleness releases emotions that might otherwise be forgotten in states of irritability and anxiety, reminding you of the importance of preserving a benevolent and tolerant stability.

In lithotherapy, your Magnesite jewel offers protection against harmful, all-consuming and pressing thoughts and feelings, keeping stress and overwork at bay. It makes you available to the present and to the richness of your memory.

Achieving serenity means rediscovering an intimate idea, that of affection for oneself, a source of mental clarity and positive energy that enables us to both concentrate and let go, for a balanced approach between reason and poetry.

Physical effects

Although devoid of scientific proof, tradition attributes detoxifying benefits to Magnesite for diets, food and digestion problems, headaches and neuralgia.

Mineralogy of your pendant necklace

Its name comes from the Magnesia region of Greece, where magnesium rock was mined for its water-purifying properties.

This white and grey stone in general can vary in color due to its composition and the conditions of its formation in hydrothermal deposits or carbonate rocks, environments rich in Magnesium:

  • magnesium carbonate containing mostly calcium and iron oxides (causing brown veins)
  • and Manganese oxides (black veins)
  • sometimes Cobalt or Nickel (giving Lemon Magnesite its pale yellow to anise-green color).

Artificially dyed blue or blue-green, it is called "Turquenite".

Its most common origins are Austria, Germany, Slovakia, Brazil, the United States, China and Zimbabwe.

Its hardness on the Mohs scale ranges from 3.5 to 4.5 - a stone to be handled with care to avoid scratches.
