What are the lithotherapy virtues of a Lapis lazuli menhir?

Protective stone - Connection to intuition - Spiritual transformation - Self-awareness - Expression and communication - Creativity

Created from a metamorphic stone whose virtues have been traditionally recognized for thousands of years, a Lapis lazuli menhir invites you to transform and embark on a creative path of lithotherapy.

Because of their size, Lapis lazuli menhirs are destined to radiate energy and harmonize the rooms in which they are placed.

Like the deep, sparkling blue of a starry sky, your Lapis lazuli menhir accompanies you into the depths of your inner being, where your authentic self awaits, far from the judgment of others.

It's a stone that opens the doors to the territory of intuition. Paradoxically, meeting oneself in order to access one's nature is a quest that opens one's eyes to the world. Isn't it said that no one is an island?

The stone will be your companion in your quest for transformation. Change, if it is a quest for authenticity, implies abandoning fears and prejudices to surrender to enlightening truths, the very ones that stimulate imagination and creativity.

A Lapis lazuli menhir is also an effective companion stone for shamanic travelers. A stone linked to the subtle plane, according to tradition it prevents you from getting lost.

Mineralogy of your Lapis Lazuli menhir

Its intense blue color has fascinated many cultures since ancient times - some objects and jewelry from the Indus have been dated back over 8,000 years.

Lapis lazuli is a metamorphic rock derived from silica-rich carbonate rocks and composed of silicates such as Lazurite - a sulphide feldspar of the Sodalite group. It also contains minerals such as Calcite, Pyrite, Wollastonite, Diopside and Potassium Feldspar.

Lazurite, the main silicate in Lapis lazuli, contains sulfur in the form of sulfur radicals. Its blue color is due to the presence of these sulfur ions, which modulate the assimilation of light. Pyrite inclusions give the rock a recognizable sparkling appearance. And Calcite, its white traces.

The best-quality deposits are found in Afghanistan, notably in Badakhshan, where the mineral has been mined for over 7,000 years. It can also be found in Chile and, to a lesser extent, in Russia, Burma, Pakistan, the USA and Canada.

Lapis lazuli was used to create the pigment ultramarine, highly prized by Renaissance artists.

It is still a highly sought-after stone in gemology and archaeology. Its hardness on the Mohs scale is 5-5.5.
