Instructions for use

Palo santo wood shavings are burned on a glowing coal placed in a suitable heat-supporting support (censer, ceramic dish, etc.).

Materials required:

  • Wood chips of your choice (Palo santo, Sandalwood...)
  • Charcoal for incense burner (pellets or discs)
  • Incense burner suitable for coals
  • Charcoal tongs (optional)
  • Lighter or match

Instructions :

  1. Prepare the charcoal: Using the charcoal tongs, if you have them, pick up a charcoal and place it on the burner grate. Light the charcoal with a lighter or match until it crackles and place it in your resin burner.
  1. Add the shavings: Once the charcoal is glowing, place a small amount of shavings on top. The shavings should begin to burn and release their fragrance. You can adjust the amount of shavings according to the intensity of the scent you want.
  2. Let the smoke disperse. If you have a censer with a handle or suspension, you can move around with it to spread the smoke wherever you like.

Caution! Do not touch the censer until it has cooled down completely. Ventilate the room well, as this type of fumigation produces a lot of smoke.

Precautions

Valid for all types of fumigation (incense, plants, sticks, resins, wood, etc. natural or not)

  • Always air the room thoroughly.
  • Place your incense out of the reach of children and pets, on a suitable heat-sensitive support and away from anything flammable.
  • Never leave incense burning unattended.
  • Do not inhale smoke directly.

Frankincense is not recommended for pregnant women and can be dangerous for people with respiratory problems, babies, asthmatics and small animals.
