Mineralogy of your rolled Lizardite
Lizardite originated on Cornwall's Lizard Peninsula, where it was discovered in the 50′. It is the product of the evolution of mafic stones such as Pyroxene and Olivine.
A polymorph of Serpentine, it differs from Antigorite and Chrysotile in its structural organization into thin layers in a dense, fibrous mass, sometimes with fine scales.
Its deposits are mainly located in the United States, Europe (Italy, Norway, United Kingdom, Switzerland), Japan and Russia.
On the Mohs scale, its hardness is 2.5 - a stone to be handled with care.
