Rolled stones in Baryte - or Barytine
blue, white, brown

A rolled baryte stone is not only mysteriously beautiful. Blue, white or brown, it illuminates with its own lithotherapy poetry,
an expression that is as much about our dreamlike memories as it is about preserving an everyday memory.

What are the memory virtues of baryte in lithotherapy?

Memory and imagination - Vitality - Protection - Sense of reality

Baryte, also known as barite, is ideal for enhancing memory. It helps you articulate your ideas and find the right words.

A symbol of purity, Baryte sweeps away anything toxic in the relationships around you. It's also good for clearing away any negativity you may have built up inside yourself.

The present is not all tangible reality. There is at least as much truth in our personal dreams and timeless legends as in established facts. Of course, it's as if the imaginary tends to fade away, to disappear, to evaporate, and earthly presence, by definition, to dwindle. Dreams are like a charade to be deciphered before oblivion; what cannot be said otherwise, on pain of retaining only the anecdote and banality of words, is preserved by poetry.

Listening and speaking to dreams is an initiation, and Baryte is a medium in lithotherapy. Dream and reality meet in our intimate memory, which we need to feel as well as understand. We're not gods, but human beings whose journey is to rise to a better grasp of reality in all its complexity.

Mineralogy of your Rolled Barite

Your stone is a barium sulfate formed in ancient times under the pressure of hydrothermal springs. Its color (mostly white, blue or brown) and appearance (opaque or translucent, but often vitreous or even pearly) depend on the impurities and inclusions it accumulated at the time.

Your stone is quite soft: you need to take care of it or you'll scratch it inadvertently. According to the Mohs scale, its hardness is 3/3.5.

*Please note that lithotherapy is not a substitute for serious medical treatment.
*Please note! Some minerals may be toxic and must not be licked or ingested (as such or in the form of powder, elixir or stone water) or be in prolonged contact with the skin or mucous membranes.
