What is the significance of rolled jade stones in lithotherapy?

Protection - Serenity - Balance - Self-confidence - Decision-making - Longevity - Prosperity - Lucky charm

Virtues of polished jade stones

All jade stones, in lithotherapy, are protective stones, to be understood as a tool for healing and spiritual balance.

The calming effect of Jade can be salutary in letting go of fears and anxieties and trying to free our self-confidence. The rediscovered taste of freedom allows for a broad and clear perspective.

And serenity likes to see far ahead. It needs the flexibility that allows irrational fears to be dismissed as illusions. A polished jade stone can help you control fear; its presence accompanies you at life's turning points, promoting calm and serenity when it comes to making choices.

In the East, stone has a tradition linked to longevity. It is also a talisman and a good-luck charm.

Three types of jade

Jade comes in many shades of green, lilac or black, as well as in its composition. There are three types of jade: jadeite (or Burmese jade), nephrite jade and black jade.

Each jade has its own virtues:

  • Jadeite or Burmese Jade is a comforting stone that draws on the energy of the masculine principle.
It accompanies purification and balance through its unfailing support of mental clarity.
In this way, it gives you a taste for honesty: asking the question of the importance of your own limits, it invites you to explore the benefits of following a lucid path in terms of justice, forgiveness and tolerance. It's a healing stone.
  • Linked to balance and harmony, nephrite jade is a soothing stone that preserves peace and prosperity.
It is also an anti-fear talisman for adults and children.
According to ancient traditions, it slows down kidney, bladder and urinary tract diseases.
  • In lithotherapy, black jade is a stone of self-affirmation. It helps us to know ourselves better by freeing us from our fears, and to assert ourselves through the self-confidence we gain. This stone is also considered a good-luck charm.

Mineralogy of your rolled jade stones

The two most common varieties of jade are jade jadeite (or Burmese jade) - a silicate of sodium and aluminum - and jade nephrite (a silicate of calcium and magnesium). Black jade can be either jadeite or nephrite.

The best quality jadeite is mined in its primary producer: Burma. It can also be sourced from Central America, Japan, Russia and the USA.

Nephrite jade comes from Canada, China, the United States, New Zealand or Russia.

Jadeite hardness ranges between 6.5 and 7 on the Mohs scale - it is 6 and 6.5 for nephrite jade (which can be black) and 6.5 to 7 for black jade in jadeite.
