Mineralogy of your Rolled Augite

Its crystals, part of the inosilicate family, can measure around ten centimetres, and take on a dark color that varies according to its composition and impurities, ranging from black to brown or green - depending on the proportion of iron, titanium, calcium, or magnesium and aluminium.

This stone was formed in magmas subjected to varying degrees of pressure, where water found its way into the molten rock, in whole or in part.
