What are the lithotherapy benefits of a Larvikite stone?

Anchoring and stability - Clear mind - Rational work and Memory - Acceptance of change - Protection - Purification and removal of negative energies

Larkivite is a purifying stone that provides stability and protection in lithotherapy.

Its purifying virtues will help ward off bad energy and darkness, both soothing the mind and providing the balance and resilience needed to keep you going. You can also find all Larvikite jewelry at this link.

Clarity of mind

A rolled Larvikite stone will be useful for and doing reflective work, for its stabilizing effect on anxiety, its anchoring effect on memory and the integration of ideas.

It can be a support at times when everything seems to be changing. It will accompany change by anchoring you, giving you courage and reminding you that while evolution is part of life, the perception of its contribution, like the mourning of the past, requires an open and tolerant mind.

Traditional physical effects

Its link with the Earth associates it with the elements of Nature. Tradition also attributes to it powers to help regenerate the body and detoxify it.

How do I use it?

In lithotherapy, this stone can be an everyday companion. You can keep it in your pocket or close to you and apply it as an accessory for a treatment on the area concerned.

Avoid confusion

Discovered in Larvik, Norway, Larkivite should not be confused with a dark variety of Labradorite, sometimes called Larkivite or Dark Labradorite - names that are not recognized by science.

Larvikite mineralogy

This igneous mineral belongs to the syenites. It consists mainly of alkaline or plagioclase feldspars, augite and hornblende. It is an ancient magmatic rock, formed more than 295 million years ago deep in the Earth's crust.

The presence of ternary feldspars in Larvikite's structure is the key to its beautiful iridescent blue and silver brilliance.

Highly prized in Norway, where it was discovered in the 19th century, Larvikite can be used to make jewelry, decorative objects, and architecture - to adorn building facades, home interiors, funerary monuments and many other decorative and prestige uses.

Its hardness on the Mohs scale ranges from 6 and 6.5.
