Natural Insence Company and Fiore d'oriante

Natural Incense Company is a family-run business founded in 2011, located near Mandya, India, that works to revive the ancient art of making natural honey-based incense according to Vedic tradition.

Natural Incense Company's strength lies in its unique blend of Indian Vedic culture and Italian herbalism, its use of quality raw materials and its ancestral know-how.

Ancestral methods: incense is still prepared today as it was 400 years ago, following ancient Vedic teachings, the phases of the moon, the movement of the sun and planets, and many precious tricks handed down by tradition. During preparation, masala is kept in earthenware containers and, after 15 days, is ready to be hand-rolled on bamboo sticks.

Drying takes around a week, during which time the sticks are continuously rotated to ensure even drying. Once dry, the sticks are immediately packed in aroma preservation sachets to preserve their fragrance until use.

Ethical working conditions: this company brings together 35 women and 2 men from two neighboring villages, offering stable and secure employment to many local mothers and young girls.

A benchmark brand: Thanks to its know-how and the quality of its products, this company has become a benchmark for many ashrams and companies around the world.

All their incense is ICEA or ECOCERT certified, guaranteeing that it is produced with respect for people and the environment and is free from harmful substances.
