How to choose a mallet for Tibetan bowls

Mallets for Tibetan singing bowls are made of wood. These tools form the basis of our bowl accessories. They are used to turn the bowl to make it sing. One is offered for every bowl purchased.

Mallets are sometimes also adorned with leather, which allows greater friction and lower frequencies than with wood alone.

Wooden mallets are generally only used for very small 3-metal or 5-metal bowls. Leather mallets are used for 7-metal bowls and should be adapted to the size of the bowl. This means that the larger the bowl, the larger the mallet needs to be for optimum results.
