Howlite bracelet

Howlite is often confused with Magnesite, which is why 98% of bracelets sold under the name Howlite are actually Magnesite (this confusion is also found in many lithotherapy books).

The virtues of a "Howlite" bracelet

As mentioned above, "Howlite" bracelets are actually made from Magnesite.

Magnesite is highly appreciated in cases of cramp or fatigue due to magnesium deficiency. It is also reputed to relieve headaches, promote weight loss (by helping to avoid snacking) and for its detoxifying action.

Soothing, it is the stone of choice for stress, irritability or difficult emotions.

In mineralogy

Similar in appearance, howlite and magnesite have very different compositions. Howlite is a calcium borosilicate with manganese oxides (black and grey veins) and iron oxides (brown veins) and magnesite is a magnesium carbonate also with manganese and iron oxides.
