Your lava bracelet is made of volcanic rock beads - the same stone used for hot stone massages. Basalt is composed mainly of alkaline oxides and silica, which can appear as shiny or opaque crystals, depending on impurities and inclusions.
This mineral is rather hard (6 on the Mohs scale).
