We also offer :

The different shapes and types of pearls

In our online store, you'll find round, oval, faceted and "fragmented" stone beads. Beads with matte or shiny appearance and different sizes from 2mm diameter to 12mm. Yes, there's plenty to awaken your creativity and let it flow.

Creating therapeutic jewelry

Thanks to their lithotherapy virtues , these beads can be used to make therapeutic jewelry and you don't have to be a lithotherapy expert to do it! Here are the important steps to guide you on your way:

  • Define the "purpose" of the jewel in question, for example:
    Anti-stress, protection, self-confidence, fertility, self-love, concentration etc.
  • Choose one to four stones whose virtues correspond to the desired effect. You can download our free litho guide.
  • Purify your pearls by placing them under running water (or another method of your choice).
  • Make the jewel in full awareness of the desired intention.

How do you know if the pearls are real or fake?

Have you ever found yourself with a blue wrist because your pearl bracelet has rubbed off? Have you ever noticed that some commercially available "stone" beads look more like plastic resin or polymer clay than stone? Or that others have completely unnatural colors?

When you're looking for beads to make jewelry, you need to be careful, especially when buying online. Here, knowledge is key!

Here's a list of the most common fakes:

  • There is no such thing as fuchsia, pink or bright blue agate. It is always tinted agate.
  • The uniform and opaque, orange-brown "rivière d'or" with glitter is a synthetic stone and not a sunstone.
  • Cheap Malachite doesn't exist (ah yes it does in polymer clay)
  • There's no such thing as cheap Chrysocolla and Turquoise either, which are usually tinted Magnesite.
  • Royal-blue Lapis lazuli without marble or pyrite inlay is the most sought-after and expensive quality, and is therefore often tinted.
  • Moonstone is not white with bluish highlights, but creamy white, black, brown, salmon or gray. White with bluish highlights is white Labradorite.
  • Opaline has nothing to do with Opal. It is a glass whose appearance imitates the opalescence of noble Opals.

Many gemstone beads are treated, heated or irradiated to increase their color intensity. This is frequently the case with Rose Quartz, since without this treatment the small pearls would be translucent white. Don't worry, here, when a type of pearl has undergone a treatment, we always indicate it.

Buy quality stone beads

So yes, if you don't want to end up with beads that fade or turn out to be glass or plastic, it's essential tobuy quality beads. Of course they are more expensive, but the energy released by the stone and its beauty have nothing to do with imitation, fake or low-quality stones.

Our experience and knowledge of mineralogy have enabled us to find respectful suppliers who meet our criteria and expectations and we are pleased to be able to offer you a wide variety of quality semi-precious stone beads.
