How to use Apophyllite

Mental calm - Clarity - Lucidity - Awareness - Removing masks

In lithotherapy

This stone has many virtues in lithotherapy.

On a spiritual level, it's a calming stone that can create the conditions of calm needed to connect with both intuition and the higher planes of the mind. For a clear mind, methodical in its memory - and fueled by the clairvoyance essential to projecting oneself into the future or an idea. With this stone, it's possible to remain positive and lucid in the midst of a storm.

Looking at your own selfishness is no easy task. But by becoming aware of your own self-centered behavior, you can break through the walls ofyour hitherto limited vision of your place in the world. Opening up your own mental schema (often inherited without even realizing it) will help you understand and accept your own limits: as you become more lucid, your manifest generosity and capacity for love will help you grow as a human being.

Its physical properties are no less rich: its action is said to reduce bone, cartilage and tooth problems. It also reduces obstructions to the respiratory system by stimulating the immune system. It will be useful for all health problems involving a drop in energy, asthma and other respiratory illnesses.

You can promote its spiritual action by placing it on the third eye or summit chakra. Or place it on the heart and wear it every day.

Apophyllite in mineralogy

Apophyllite forms in the ash of volcanoes. It can be white, green, pink, violet, red, orange, gray, brown or with yellow hues. Its luster can be vitreous or pearly.
It may fluoresce under ultraviolet light.
Its Mohs hardness is 4.5 to 5.

Apophyllite is no longer considered a single mineral. It actually consists of three minerals: Hydroxyapophyllite (white, colorless), Fluorapophyllite (k) (white, colorless, yellow, pink, green) and the very rare Fluorapophyllite- (Na) (brown, yellow, colorless).

Together, they form the phyllosilicates, characterized by their sheet-like structure. Moreover, its name comes from the Greek apophyllízo (ἀποφυλλίζω), meaning "detaching into leaves".
