What are the benefits and properties of feldspar in crystal healing?

Nature – Balance – Stability – A New Perspective – Flexibility – New Perspectives – Positivity – Confidence

Origins and symbols

The name “feldspar” comes from the German words “Feld” (field) and “Spat” (brittle stone). In these ancient Nordic traditions, its nature was associated with the Earth, balance, and stability. It was a talisman that warded off harmful energies and promoted clarity of mind.

Lithotherapy benefits

In crystal healing, feldspar is believed to have harmonizing and balancing properties, both in terms of how you perceive your intuitions and in stabilizing your emotions.
By soothing anxiety, it encourages creativity in how you connect with others, fostering self-love and openness toward others. In this way, it nurtures all forms of personal growth.

Feldspar encourages you to shift your perspective and broaden your perceptions so you can see things in a new light. This can make it easier for you to find solutions to problems, gain a better overview, or experience events differently—perhaps in a way that’s more in line with your values if you choose to make the necessary changes.

A very positive stone, feldspar is an ally that reminds you that flexibility opens doors. After the rain, the sun will shine, even if it takes some patience.

Mineralogy of Feldspar

Feldspar is a component of many rocks and makes up about 60% of the Earth's crust. These minerals form in igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rocks.

This is a group of aluminosilicate minerals that is divided into two main subgroups: alkali feldspars (orthoclase, microcline) and plagioclases (albite, anorthite).

Their hardness ranges from 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale—making them a relatively hard mineral.
