Jasper
Fine gemstones
There are all sorts of different Jasper varieties, some with original names: Red Jasper, Blood Jasper (Heliotrope), Landscape Jasper, Unakite Jasper and Mookaite Jasper are the most common, but there is also Dalmatian Jasper, Picasso Jasper, Imperial Jasper, Orbicular Jasper (leopard or ocean), Tumbled Jasper, and so on.
It's easy to get lost among all these varieties and their complexity. All Jasper stones carry the energy of mother earth and connect with the lunar energies of the feminine Yin principle.
The virtues and properties of Jasper in lithotherapy
Red Jasper
This stone emanates the feminine force of Mother Earth, her blood, her power and her gentleness.
Red Jasper (which can be associated with Hematite: see here) is intimately linked to feminine forces and works artfully and effectively on everything to do with the female sex, the uterus and the womb.
It is of invaluable support throughout pregnancy, childbirth and the post-partum period, as it carries the energies of the earth, helping the embryo and fetus to anchor themselves in the womb and become incarnate at birth.
It supports the uterus and placenta during pregnancy and improves blood circulation. During childbirth, it creates the link between telluric forces and the uterus, so that the body can benefit fully from these energies, which are essential for birth. And, during the post-partum period, it relieves "trenches", prevents the formation of clots in the uterus and helps the mother regain her strength.
It regulates and relieves menstruation and helps welcome and honor the blood of the moons.
After a miscarriage or abortion, it regulates the hormonal system and reminds you that the earth is there to support you.
Red Jasper invites you to take root in the earth, to accept the material aspect inherent in your incarnation here. It gives you the courage, strength and determination you need to bring your projects to fruition and helps you get through life's difficulties.
Yellow Jasper or yellow-brown-ochre Mookaite
Yellow Jasper helps with digestive disorders and regulates the functioning of the pancreas, liver and gallbladder.
It is well-suited to people who are always worried about getting a "tummy ache".
Mookaïte Jasper
Depending on its color, it has the same properties as Red Jasper and Yellow Jasper.
A multi-colored Mookaite invites creativity and enhances our ability to adapt.
Heliotrope, "Blood Jasper
It has the same virtues as red jasper, especially for everything to do with the blood (improving blood circulation in the lower part of the body, helping with hemorrhoids and varicose veins, cold and often red hands and feet).
It is a great purifier of the bladder and kidneys and helps detoxify the body (ideal when taking medication).
From an emotional point of view, Heliotrope works on the heart and helps us to avoid becoming obsessed by unreasoning passions by inviting us to keep our feet on the ground, not to let our wounds guide our choices and to have confidence in ourselves.
Landscape Jasper
With its colors and patterns reminiscent of desert sand dunes, Landscape Jasper gently invites you to anchor yourself deeply in the earth. Inspiring, it unblocks the blocks that prevent or limit the expression of your creativity.
Dalmatian Jasper
Creamy-white speckled with black in the image of the Dalmatian, this Jasper balances the flow of yin and yang energy and invites us to use these two energies in a fair and balanced way.
Orbicular Jasper, also known as Agate Jasper, Chalcedony Jasper, Ocean Jasper and Leopard Jasper
Its patterns and colors are as varied as our inner seasons. This stone helps you to accept the magnificent being you are in all your particularities, in all your facets and invites you to live joyfully the cyclical aspect of existence.
Unakite Jasper
Unakite Jasper is composed of Red Jasper, Feldspar and Epidote.
In addition to having the virtues of Red Jasper and Epidote, Unakite invites unity, common endeavor and facilitates cooperation and harmony within oneself and with others.
