How was the Phantom Quartz formed?

Phantom Quartz is a rock crystal with the peculiarity of having "traces" in the shape of "ghosts" inside it.

These "phantom" traces appear when a Rock Crystal's growth has been interrupted one or more times during its formation, before continuing. When growth was interrupted, various minerals were deposited on the rock crystal, leaving traces that are lightly tinted (often with chlorite), white or colorless.
