What are the virtues and properties of pink calcite in lithotherapy?
Linked to feelings of peace, compassion and emotional healing, Pink Calcite helps to free oneself from past traumas in lithotherapy. Its primary virtue is that of promoting serenity among those who wish to integrate its soothing energies into their lives.
The origins of pink calcite
For the ancient Egyptians, this stone had the power to promote harmony and love among beings.
Its mystical dimension was also retained by the ancient Greeks, who attributed its origin to the tears of Aphrodite, the goddess of love.
What does it mean?
Pink Calcite symbolizes harmonious growth. It opens the heart chakra, to fulfill the feeling of love and self-acceptance.
What are its benefits?
Pink Calcite is a concentrate of gentleness, a balm for the heart, a ball of love... It accompanies with tenderness and benevolence every process of healing emotional wounds. With it, you feel emotionally secure, your tensions are released and your sorrows float away.
It helps people with little connection to their emotions and feelings to develop their emotional intelligence and highly emotional people not to "drown" in their emotions, but to understand them better and put them on.
It's an ideal ally for hypersensitive children and teenagers, for those who have difficulty adapting to new situations and changes, such as a new school, a move, the arrival of a little sister or brother, a separation; and for and who are afraid or unwilling to grow up.
A healing stone linked to the heart chakra and to growth in the broadest sense, it is particularly suited to people working to heal their emotional wounds. It teaches you patience, helps you to accept and realize that some wounds require special attention, that it takes time to heal; sometimes even a wound can reopen before it heals for good. Growing physically, emotionally and spiritually also means falling down and then getting up again, making mistakes and learning not to make them again.
The physical benefits of pink calcite
Because of its structure and composition (calcium carbonate), Calcite can be used in lithotherapy to benefit growth, bones, nails, teeth and hair; help with gastric acidity and regulate the nervous, blood, digestive and cardiac systems.

Reconciling transformative forces (Fire) and soothing energies (Water)Mineralogy of pink calcite
Pink Calcite is a calcium carbonate containing traces of manganese, which gives it its pink color. The salmon and apricot varieties also contain traces of iron. Calcite mangano contains a higher concentration of manganese. With vitreous chips, it can be translucent to opaque. It fluoresces surprisingly well under ultraviolet light.
It is formed mainly in sedimentary rocks, by the accumulation of shells and remains of marine organisms.
Pink calcite comes mainly from Mexico and Peru, but also from many other parts of the world.
Its low hardness (2.5 to 3 on the Mohs scale) makes it a relatively soft crystal. It should therefore be handled with care, as it can be easily scratched.
