What are the different types of green quartz?

There are pure green Quartz, forms of Chalcedony and Quartz with inclusions.

To learn more about their particularities in mineralogy and their spiritual symbols in lithotherapy, you can visit the exhibition pages:

La Prasiolite

Prasiolite is a very rare variety of green quartz. It can be pale green to olive green and transparent to translucent.

Symbols in lithotherapy: transformation, spiritual development, emotional openness, mental clarity, emotional harmony.

Green Aventurine

Unlike Prasiolite, Green Aventurine is a composite stone containing inclusions of Fuchsite (chromium-rich mica), which explains its glittering lustre. It can be translucent to opaque.

Symbols in lithotherapy: Soothing emotions, self-confidence, good luck, prosperity, growth.

Buddstone

It is an opaque metamorphic rock, which can be intensely green in color. Buddstone is a variety of Chalcedony or Serpentine - often silicates, a mixture of minerals including microcrystalline quartz most of the time.

Symbols in lithotherapy: anchoring, strength of spirit, wisdom and spiritual healing in African traditions.

Quartz with inclusions of green tourmaline or other minerals

Quartz with veins or clouds, with inclusions of minerals such as green tourmaline.
