What are the lithotherapy benefits of raw Chrysoprase?

Change and renewal - New cycle - Soothing and enthusiasm - Parent-child bond - Lucky charm - Prosperity

Nature awakens in spring, ready for a new beginning

Green is the color of spring after the gray of winter. If spiritual life is cyclical, the metaphor of spring is a way of expressing rebirth after periods when everything seemed to stand still.

This can be a time of transition and the desire for a new start in life. This is the time to call upon this stone, its symbol mobilizing the energies of change.

Chrysoprase is a symbol of renewal. In the face of fears and anxieties caused by instability, it imposes its vital force, at once soothing and the source of all the enthusiasm linked to the promise of the future.

Chrysoprase provides security, opening up the field of possibilities, bringing hope and a renewed connection to solar optimism.

Tradition sees it as a good-luck charm that prepares for transformations, just as it strengthens the strong bonds of kinship, particularly that of mother and child.

Its reputation in lithotherapy is also that of a detoxifier for the body.

Mineralogical synthesis of your raw Chrysoprase

Microcrystalline Quartz is thought to be a variety of Chalcedony. Recent research, however, suggests a more complex nature: it could be a combination of several silica polymorphs, such as Quartz, Moganite, Chalcedony or Opal.

Nickel silicates in its crystalline fibrous structure give it a varying shade of green.

Vitreous and silky or waxy, translucent or opaque, Chrysoprase reflects light with an eye-popping brilliance that has made this rare stone famous since antiquity. Today, its finest quality is mined in Australia. Other deposits are found mainly in Germany, Brazil, the United States, Poland and Madagascar.

It's a pretty solid stone: its hardness is between 6.5 and 7 on the Mohs scale.

Why does Chrysoprase lose its brilliance in sunlight?

It is sensitive to heat and light. The nickel contained in its structure can deteriorate if the crystal is exposed to sunlight for too long. The stone, which like other crystals contains a very small amount of water, can lose moisture through excessive heat. Prolonged exposure to UV light can also affect it, but this is rare.

How can we protect it?

Never leave it in a car in summer! Store it away from direct light when not in use. Never use products other than lukewarm water to clean it.
