What are the lithotherapy benefits of a Lapis lazuli pendant?
Talisman - Developing intuition - Inner transformation - Wisdom of the quest for self - Expression, creativity and communication
Lapis lazuli was a precious commodity in ancient times, as much for its unique beauty as for the sacred powers attributed to it.
Symbol power
In lithotherapy, this stone accompanies spiritual quests for transformation and artistic creation.
The key to unlocking this door is intuition; or, in other words, the ability to meet oneself and access intimate knowledge beyond reason.
What is it that blinds us to our own nature? While it would undoubtedly take an inordinate - and perhaps unreasonable - ambition to claim to provide a definitive answer to such a far-reaching question, the fact remains that the quest for self-knowledge and creative action mobilizes motivations noble and legitimate enough to listen to what the symbols of Lapis lazuli have to tell us.
To wear a Lapis lazuli pendant is also to be accompanied bya stone that invites you to open your mind, to yourself and to the world, in a quest for authenticity. Its beauty is a mirror for all those who wish to overcome their fears and prejudices, the very ones that make us accept as a fait accompli a state of affairs that is a source of suffering.
Finding our truth and deepest nature may well mean first and foremost rebuilding a balance that is no longer based on the stories we tell ourselves - and which are often not our own - but on the revelations that action on matter and the world brings to our spirit.
Opening up to the spiritual energies that stone awakens leads us to reconsider our conception of justice, giving new value to what we may have scorned. Wisdom is generous and willing to sacrifice intolerant notions in order to grow. Is it any wonder then that, according to tradition, this stone favors expression and communication?
Change is only possible through the revelation of a new autonomy. Vis-à-vis the past, the gaze and judgment of others. Then your vision will no longer be conditioned by conflicting relationships, which will be re-evaluated in their rightful place. What if your fears, indecisions, discomfort and inhibitions, like your anger, jealousy and hatred, were only an avatar of your innermost wounds? What if, at the same time, they were the materia prima of your potential?
The sublime stone is a reminder that there's a kingdom within you. To rediscover beauty and the creative and emancipatory gesture is to take your place on a throne. For a just and wise reign that rediscovers freedom.

Mineralogy of your Lapis lazuli pendant
It is a metamorphic rock of Tertiary formation found mainly in Afghanistan (grade A) and Chile, and to a much lesser extent in small deposits in North America (USA and Canada) and Asia (Russia and Burma). Its rarity explains the considerable number of fake stones, both dyed and synthetic, on the market. So beware!
This mineral is composed of aluminum silicate, sulfur, sodium and impurities. Marble and calcite are the white parts of lapis lazuli, and pyrite its golden inclusions.
According to the Mohs scale, its hardness ranges from 5 to 5.5. It can be a relatively brittle stone, but is perfectly suitable for jewelry.
