Looking for a cotton prayer flag?

We offer a variety of models in our store. They are part of the loungta range. They are made of cotton and each of the 5 prayers is written on a different colored fabric. Yellow represents knowledge, green prosperity, red compassion, white purification and blue peace. The ink used to inscribe the sacred words can be black or colored. You can place them inside or outside your home, depending on the desired effect. It's customary to replace them during the Tibetan New Year (Losar).

Find out more about prayer flags

Prayer flags have, as we saw above, 5 types of prayer to their credit most of the time, which are represented by fabrics of different colors (yellow, green, red, white and blue). Each color symbolizes an element: earth, water, fire, air and space. Mantras are written on them in various colors (black or colored) and the whole is propagated throughout the universe by the power of the wind. These flags can be seen all over the Himalayas and the little rectangles are used as amulets. They are an integral part of Buddhist traditions.
They are a symbol of goodness and clarity. Their mantras will be chanted by the wind.
