What are the meanings and virtues of Azurite in lithotherapy?
In China, this stone is said to open the gates of heaven. The meaning given to it by the Egyptians is not far removed, since they used it as pigment to paint the 3ᵉ eye of the god Horus.
Azurite's high copper content makes it an excellent antimicrobial stone for boosting the immune system and fighting infection. With its anti-inflammatory properties, it relieves pain associated with rheumatism, arthritis or tendonitis.
It has beneficial effects on cell regeneration and helps slow down the aging process. It offers a rejuvenating cure for the brain and can be a valuable aid in cases of Alzheimer's disease, dementia and other degenerative disorders.
With its powerful healing energies, it is the ideal stone to use for long-distance healing, to support the body after surgery or to recover from illness.
Azurite facilitates access to the unconscious, opens to extra-sensory perceptions, expands consciousness and purifies the mind. It invites you to take a fresh look at your existence and opens the door to a larger world. Perfect for mediums, therapists, dowsers and shamans.
This stone connects you to your intuition and creative magic, becoming a muse, inspiring you and inviting you to express yourself creatively. It encourages the arts such as singing, dancing, painting and research.
How to use Azurite
Azurite is great for accompanying shamanic journeys, meditations or healing sessions, but beware: it is powerful! If you don't want to lose your footing, it's best to combine it with an anchoring stone like black tourmaline.
To promote healing, carry an Azurite with you every day.
You can use it to intensify your dreams and receive clear messages by placing it on your bedside table or under your pillow.
To relieve pain of inflammatory or psychosomatic origin, place your Azurite on the painful area.
Caution! Azurite is toxic when in contact with water.
There are much better things to do with energizing water: why not discover the benefits ofvitalizing water?
Where to place Azurite?
To enjoy its benefits all day long, wear it as jewelry or in a pouch against you. Azurite is fragile, so avoid keeping it in your pocket or placing it in contact with other stones, as it could be damaged.
Azurite is perfect for a nursing home, an EMS, an artist's studio or a psychotherapy practice.
An Azurite in your living space brings high spiritual energies for peace of mind. You can place it in your bedroom to intensify dreams or in your office for inspiration.
Avoid putting it in a damp place like the bathroom or outdoors, unless you want it to turn green.

Its name comes from its magnificent azure blue, the intense blue and violet color of the evening sky.
It is composed of hydrated copper carbonate. It is a silicate with a crystalline structure and relative hardness (3.5/4 on the Mohs scale).
Its appearance is vitreous, sometimes translucent or transparent. Azurite was once used as a pigment for dyeing and painting. When Azurite oxidizes, it becomes Malachite. This is why many medieval paintings have green skies, whereas they were originally blue.
Azurite is found all over the world: in America (Chile, Mexico, USA), Europe (France, Russia), Africa (Namibia, Morocco) and Australia.
