La Nellite
gemstones, pierced stone pendants and silver 925

Rare and little-known, Nellite is a variety of silicate quartz native to Namibia.
In lithotherapy, its natural combination of two minerals combines the protective stimulus of Tiger's Eye with the intuitive strength of Pietersite.

What are the meanings and benefits of Nellite in lithotherapy?

Protection - Intuition - Self-confidence - Mental clarity - Transformations - Spiritual connection and joie de vivre

Origin of stone symbols

Nellite is also known by several names: Honey Eye, Honey Jasper, Honey Stone or Lion's Skin, all translations from English, which explains the stone's relatively recent appearance in the gem world. Its main deposits are in Namibia.

Nellite is a rare stone resulting from the natural combination of blue Pietersite and golden Tiger's Eye.

Combining the virtues of the energies of its two elements in lithotherapy, the stone is adorned with golden and bluish reflections that fascinate the eye, inviting us in its own way into the dreams and lights of the Namibian desert night skies.

Properties and virtues and spirituality of Nellite

In lithotherapy, the stone embodies a unique mineral fusion, ideal for people suffering from a lack of self-confidence or shyness, in cases of convalescence, depression or gloom. Through its protection and the awakening of intuition, its function is to reveal an inner light that would illuminate the secrets buried in the mind.

In the first instance, its protection stabilizes the emotions, consolidating the foundations of a metaphorical shield against the harmful influences of past memories and present burdens.

Its shimmering appearance reflects the movement towards mental clarity that Nellite promotes, helping to dispel confusion through the quest for a clear and calm vision of your goals. A disposition of the mind that will facilitate any connection with the self, nourished by the power of symbols, and capable of fostering a fertile dialogue with intuition.

Nellite is thus a stone of transformation and inner power. We must move forward to welcome it, step down from a pedestal where we like to imagine ourselves at the center of the world; and, understanding the profound meaning of a modesty capable of integrating our contradictions, receive in return a mature vision of self-esteem. Willpower and inner wisdom are nourished by genuine self-confidence.

In meditation

Nellite can be particularly useful in meditation, with its reassuring energy, inviting fulfillment through the search for spiritual and emotional balance.

Nellite mineralogy

Nellite is a rare variety of silicate quartz with iron and crocidolite inclusions.

It is formed by a natural assemblage of Tiger's Eye, a variety of Quartz containing altered crocidolite, and Pietersite, also derived from crocidolite, but with more impetuous structures.

Its geological origin obeys pseudomorphic processes: crocidolite, retaining its fibrous structure, is replaced by quartz. It appears with shimmering bands of gold, blue and brown.

It is mainly found in Namibia and South Africa.

Its hardness on the Mohs scale is 7 - a fairly resistant stone.
